🌟 My 2024 Personal Recap

new year review vision Jan 02, 2025

Welcome to 2025! How are you feeling? As I write this, I'm still in 2024, soaking in the reflection and releasing the past year.

I've been working on my own Reflection Ritual, and I hope you find a moment to look back on the highlights, challenges, and lessons of 2024. While, I'm still processing the challenges and lessons, it was uplifting for me to remember this year's highlights.

✨ Highlights of 2024:

  • We celebrated my husband’s 50th and took an unforgettable trip to Paris.
  • Family adventures to Rhode Island and Salem, MA.
  • My annual biz bestie retreat (lakehouse edition in August)
  • Spa days with girlfriends, strawberry picking, Halloween events, in person visits with ippies, Harry Potter girl’s weekend, dinners, outings, parties, and visits with dear friends.
  • Playing a recorder in a parody song at our friend's birthday party, thanks to Matt’s creativity!

♥️ Watching Ethan grow and perform is always a top highlight. This year, he played Claude in Pliant Girls, went from swing to a full-time role in his first professional production of Putnam County Spelling Bee, and took on the lead role as Harold Hill in UF's The Music Man. His growth in movement, leadership, and dedication to his craft is a joy to watch.

Celebrations and Acknowledgements:

  • I took a tap class and tried archery
  • Led two IPC Conferences
  • Stayed consistent in building strength and mobility with 86 pilates classes this year
  • Ran round 4 of In the World Mastermind.
  • Created the new Ready, Set, Trailblaze Course for IP Trainers.
  • Stayed grounded in supporting family, friends, and clients through life's challenges and losses.

What were your highlights? Send me a DM and let me know!

Books and Stories: I delved into nonfiction mostly through articles, documentaries, classes, and podcasts, and loved the book Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. I read 15 fiction books. Some favorites were It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover, The Women by Kristin Hannah, The Institute by Stephen King, Wade in the Water by Nyani Nkrumah, The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.

What was your standout read? What should I add to my list for 2025?

TV Shows I Loved: I enjoyed new seasons of The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Abbott Elementary, and Shrinking. Finished the series of Never Have I Ever and Million Little Things. New favorites included Bad Monkey, 3 Body Problem, The Diplomat, and Nobody Wants This.

What were yours?

For those who’ve been following my weekly newsletters, you know the second half of the year had its challenges. January will be a month of contemplation as I prepare to celebrate my πŸŽ‚50th birthday. I’m taking time to honor my 40s and set intentions for the coming decade. My 2025 plans remain open as I embrace this fertile void of rest, reflection, and possibility.🌈

Remember, whether you’re energized for the new year, still in hibernation, or recovering in any way, January 1st is just a date. You aren’t behind. You’re on your own timeline, in your own cycle and season.

Check out the upcoming events below that might help you transition into the New Year.

As always, thank you for reading my love notesπŸ’Œ every Thursday. I’m grateful for your comments and support.πŸ™πŸ’–
