New Year Overwhelm

The past few months have been a lot- from a packed work schedule to lots of responsibility and some hard emotional things.  Frankly, I'm nine days into the new year and feel behind, overwhelmed, and depleted. Even after two weeks without client sessions, I didn’t get the time off to recharge as intended.  I was feeling a little cranky about it.

Also, Ethan just left to return to college early to celebrate his 21st birthday tomorrow (๐ŸŽ‰), and I'm aware that my own milestone 50th is just 22 days away. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions—a little nostalgia, a little grief, and a lot of reflection.

I planned to write to you today about how to pull yourself out of a pity party. But clearly, I haven’t quite left mine yet. ๐Ÿ˜‚

So tomorrow, I’m flipping the script on my New Year overwhelm, and here’s my 4 part plan.

  1. ๐Ÿ“•Time to process and journal, to clear my head and heart.
  2. โœ…Two focused deep work blocks to tackle a punch list of tasks and clear the clutter out.
  3. โšกDedicated time to do something just for me—something joyful and energizing.
  4. ๐Ÿ›Œ Time this weekend with no plans so I can truly rest.

Does that sound like time you could use, too? Send me a DM to let me know what you do when you feel overwhelmed.
